Start with the principle
Before choosing a formula, identify the system, what is changing and which physics idea explains it. Then decide what information a diagram or equation needs to show.

Explain the physics behind the answer.
VCE Physics tutoring can help students connect a physical principle to a diagram, calculation, graph or written explanation. Bring your current unit, school task and attempted working to our Hawthorn East centre or a live online lesson. We can discuss support for Units 1–4, scientific investigation skills, SAC preparation and exam practice, subject to tutor and class availability.
What you can work on
Before choosing a formula, identify the system, what is changing and which physics idea explains it. Then decide what information a diagram or equation needs to show.
Practise reading axes and units, describing a trend and connecting evidence to a conclusion. Review what the data supports and what its limitations mean for an explanation.
Work from a testable question to a suitable method, variables, measurements and a way to record results. VCAA's current Physics materials place scientific investigation and evidence-based conclusions across Units 1–4.
Use attempted questions and feedback to find whether the difficulty lies in the concept, diagram, units, calculation or explanation. Practise the next question with that specific issue in mind.

Tutoring can help you understand the task, plan a method, interpret data and explain your reasoning. The investigation, analysis and submitted work must remain your own and follow your school's rules.
Bring your current topic, task sheet, attempted questions, formula sheet and any teacher feedback. These show where to begin and which skill needs practice.
Use the VCAA Physics study design and assessment pages for the current requirements, then check your school's sequence and SAC dates. Bring both when you enquire so lessons can match your course.
Teaching follows the current VCAA study design. Share your units, school program and assessment dates so we can discuss where to focus.
